25/5/1972: Foundation of the European Union of Professional Football, a scientific organisation that works for football but has nothing to do with FIFA and scandals. It started out as Italian Union of Professional Football, but gradually expanded on Europe and adapted its name accordingly. There is today a Global Union of Professional Football as well, which though basically serves as a discipline department for its sub-branches. For some years, the European Union of Professional Football used the name "Women's UEFA", which was changed later to what it is today for a series of reasons I am not fully aware of. These Unions of Professional Football are never mentioned on heavily sponsored media, exactly because their financial model does not require sponsors, so they do not offer chances for advertisement, so the mainstream media want to promote FIFA's football as "the best" instead. At this point, I will have to break it to FIFA's supporters:
Sorry? NOT sorry. They promote all-out-attack football because it fits into their corruption system. Do we seriously have to follow them? NO. These two images are just examples of what sees the light as far as FIFA's scandalous manners go. What doesn't see the light is FAR WORSE, I guarantee that. FIFA is directly responsible for all the bad things that happen in its own "football", such as staged matches (and entire competitions), staged draws, blind fanatism, tons of bribes coming and going as if nothing were wrong with them, threats, political games on the backs of simple people, one-sided "news" and so many other things one could only expect from a DICKTATORSHIP. None of these awful things happen in (or around) the proper, scientifically worked football of the Union's teams.
25/5/2019: I and my friends are not professional football players, but we do our best to follow suit the principles defined by the aforementioned scientific organisation. Today is a nice chance for us to play a match against another team similar to ours, to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Union's first day of operation. We don't have access to their detailed scientific data, but we do know how to understand whether a team uses possession football or counterattacks, pressing or patient defending etc and we do also know how to use such tactics in our game. We can distinguish formations regardless of how many lines they may consist of, we can make efficient use of formations, we can change from one to another formation depending on what the match is asking for... Basically the difference is that we are slower than the Union's teams - still better than any male team.
I don't know yet what the starting lineups will be, but sure it will be a better match than anything one can see in FIFA's parody, albeit not as good as the matches played by the Union's teams.
Happy Birthday European Union of Professional Football!
Happy Birthday true football science!
Happy Birthday proper football!
For the end, although this is not a political blog, I want to ring a bell about the Euroelections. Avoid electing men, as much as possible. We don't need more Alabama moments.
