Introduction

A woman talks about football. Sounds like a joke to most people, right? Right, but I am NOT most people. After finally concluding that the media are interested in promoting a certain type of football (which doesn't work without blatant support from referees and luck) and not presenting the sport as it objectively has to be, I decided to start this blog and make use of the following advantages:

1)This blog doesn't need financial backing. One problem of FIFA's football is sponsors who push for results at the expense of the sport itself - I won't have this kind of problem so I 'll stay honest. (If at a later point in time I can't keep it up without sponsors, I will either abandon or delete it. Getting sold is not an option.)

2)I was lucky enough to be taught the sport by a person who does not support any specific team. I 've come to realise how much more meaningful it is to support the sport itself instead of just one team, as supporting a specific team leaves little to no room for true objectivity. This applies to all sports but is most important in football, exactly because football is the most popular sport, so cultivating violence around it is very easy for those who want to do so (there are conscripted media serving the cause...).

3)I 've been playing football myself ever since I began to understand it, so there is no chance of me supporting a theory that doesn't work in practice. I don't play for a team that makes headlines, so I 'm not touched by FIFA's "football is a product, not a sport" mentality. I play football in its purest form, so I can indeed talk about the sport itself - which is something I enjoy doing.

To finish this post, I 'm leaving you a note about comments. All comments on this blog are moderated by me, so if you want your comments published make sure you follow these rules:

-No sexism. This blog is about football itself as a sport, which is within the rights of both genders. In case you failed to notice, I 'm not trying to ban men from football - though I 've been told I should be.
-Personal messages aren't meant to be public. Offensive comments are specially warned against. I am in charge of this blog, so I can expose you if you attempt to post something offensive.
-No fanatism. Support your point with valid arguments. Don't be a mouthpiece. Even actually owning a team doesn't justify comments with purposed biasing. Don't cultivate violence.
-No betting propositions. Bookmakers have the habit of setting up matches and then arranging which team(s) to throw official blame on. I won't support corruption and neither are you allowed to.
-No irrelevant comments. This blog is absolutely strictly about football. Go elsewhere if you 're just going to say your pain.

Next post is about positions. Read it carefully, even if you think you already know how each position is to be played - you cannot predict surprises. Thank you.
